Are you looking for an active companion whose exuberance and friendly demeanor lights up a room? Cocoa is a natural adventurer, leaper, dog-wrestler, toy-tugger, dancer, critter-chaser, clown and people lover. He’s a Sheltie blend (with a big Corgi smile) who will enjoy an active lifestyle—agility, fly ball, or maybe freestyle, or even just lots of hiking on natural obstacle courses. He is learning to walk nicely on a leash and likes meeting other dogs. Cocoa also enjoys snuggling on the couch and sharing spoon-style naps. My name is Sir Eric Lancelot, but you can call me “Lance”. I am an affectionate boy who just loves to play! Right now I am learning how to play fetch in my foster home. Loki is a beautiful Sheltie boy looking for a nice home for his approaching retirement years. BUT, he’s not ready for retirement yet! He loves a vigorous daily walk and can go for several miles. After that, he’s ready to play fetch or another game with his favorite toys – and he has a lot of favorites in his toy basket. Loki loves attention and cuddling and will be close by all the time. He is particular about other dogs, and he would be happiest as an only dog. Cats might be okay, but only if they leave him alone. Could you give this lovely older dog a great new home?

“Miss B” is quiet and a little shy. She is learning the delights of living in a home after 9 years in a puppy mill. Showing good manners, she is not destructive and has free roam privileges. She likes dogs and respects the rights of the resident kitties. She shows her Sheltie love of snow by running and playing in it with another foster dog. She is reserved around new people – a typical Sheltie trait. With someone who is patient to continue her socialization, Miss B. will become a loyal companion, looking only for love and affection.

Here’s Pepper - a gorgeous youngster who needs an active home where he can learn and be part of the action. He really doesn’t know anything right now, and we’re teaching him basic manners. He loves to play, is very energetic and friendly. He will need lots of exercise daily to use up that energy. He can wait for you while you’re at work, but only up to 4 hours at a time – remember he’s a teenager and will be for many months to come. Pepper gets along well with other dogs, but is much too interested in chasing cats to live with one.

I may be older but I am a great snuggler. My coat was shaved because I was matted, so I look funny now. But just look at the picture of me with my coat! I'm a beautiful lady, and I’ll get that coat back again! I do like my sleep--especially on a dog bed by an air conditioner vent. I live with 3 other foster dogs and 3 kitties. I was scratched by a kitty and do not trust them, so I’d prefer a home without cats. When I first came to my foster home, I introduced myself to the other dogs and then checked out the living accommodations. Then I settled in to wait for someone to fall in love with me and take me to my forever home. Could that someone be you?

Renny is a happy-go-lucky boy who is still very much a puppy at heart. He has lots of energy and would enjoy having a yard and another dog to play with him. He is learning about house training and walking nicely on the leash. He enjoys attention and after a good run is happy just to hang out with his person. He’s a little shy around strangers and new things at first but usually warms up pretty quickly.

Shady is a happy, friendly, low key Sheltie that wants to be next to his mom or dad. He is a good watch dog barking at door bells and ringing telephones but knows to stop when told. Shady exhibits good house manners by never destroying anything. While he would like to sleep on the sofa, he will not jump up without an invitation. Shady has not lived with children or another dog or cat. He is friendly with adults and would like to be his family's center of attention.
